A 40th Anniversary event

Marking the opening of the Island’s first railway line on this day 149 years ago, enjoy a walk from the site of the former Newport Station to Cowes, with members of the Ramblers and a knowledgeable guide from the Steam Railway.

The walk will start from Newport Quay (OS501894) at 10.30am

Distance 5 miles (one way). Duration 3 hours (one way).
