Riverside Stakeholder's Meeting

Further to recent media coverage of funding changes that impact on the Riverside Centre, and other providers of service to vulnerable people, the Centre has arranged a stakeholder meeting for 10.30am on Saturday 13th March 2010, in the Centre.

It may not be clear in the coverage that, alongside the proposed funding reduction, there is a proposal to increase the ‘Rent’ charged by the Isle of Wight Council to around £100,000 which, even allowing for a small reduction, would mean that the Centre would become unviable and unable to provide or maintain the services that it currently provides.

The Centre hopes on Saturday to provide stakeholders with greater clarification of the future of the Centre.
