Vectis Astronomical Society and Wellow Literary Institute have arranged:
"An Evening of Public Observing"
As part of the 2009 International Year of Astronomy
Who can attend? - All are welcome.
Does it cost anything? - No, entry is free.
Do I need to book? - No, just turn up on the night.
Is equipment provided? - Yes, Vectis Astronomical Society will provide telescopes, binoculars and volunteers - you are welcome to bring your own equipment as well.
If you need to bring a torch, please put rubber band and red plastic over the front (available on the night). Wear warm clothing.
Is car parking available? - Wellow is a small village and parking space is limited, please park considerately and car share if at all possible.
Other information - Wellow Institute will be selling teas, coffees & soup.
Members of the Island branch of the Campaign to Protect Rural England will also be on site.
